OFF CAMPUS EVENTS
CCPR Census Workshop Series Part 1: How the US 2020 Decennial Census Affects You and Your Research. Time: Nov 4, 2020 02:00 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada). The two-word goal of “count everyone” is simply stated, but difficult. In this workshop we will give a broad overview of the many moving parts connected to the US decennial operation. Although fair apportionment is the primary motivator for a complete enumeration, we highlight how the 2020 decennial also serves as an important backbone for future products such as sample surveys used in demographic research. Along the discussion, we will point out difficulties along with the demographic and statistical methods used to address them. Participants are encouraged to discuss their experiences, questions and concerns.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
NIH would like you, anyone who conducts research – not just NIH grant recipients – to take a survey to gauge the impact of COVID-19 on researchers at institutions that receive NIH grants. If you have not yet had a chance to participate, you now have until November 13th to do so. Through the survey, we hope to learn more about your current situation; the results will inform critical NIH policy and program decisions to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19. Follow this link to the survey: Take the Survey. Or copy and paste the URL below into your internet browser: http://deloitte.co1.qualtrics.
DATA
Societal Experts Action Network: Results from nearly two dozen surveys asking about COVID-19 that were released in the past week are covered in the latest Societal Experts Action Network COVID-19 survey summary. Source materials are available via the open-access SEAN COVID-19 Survey Archive, with full-text search and retrieval of individual questions and related materials. This project supports SEAN, an expert network convened by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, in collaboration with the National Science Foundation, to connect policymakers with critical social, behavioral, and economic research into the pandemic and to share that research with a wider audience. The SEAN archive contains 675 studies since February from the United States and 35 other countries, with more than 8,000 survey questions and thousands of project files, including analyses, data tables, questionnaires and datasets.
